Alex Azparrent

Director of Logistics, Supply Chain & Commercial Strategies Fluor

Alex Azparrent is an experienced and proven leader with over 20 years of logistics and supply chain experience, at Fluor since 2007. He relocated to Santiago, Chile in January 2018, to work on Anglo American’s Quellaveco project. Before being named Global Director of Logistics Operations at Fluor, Azparrent was Director of Logistics Americas, and prior to that Logistics Manager for Fluor Chile for the mining division. Azparrent has been involved in projects executed in the United States, Middle East, Mexico, Egypt, Algeria, West Africa, and South America. He has spent a good part of his career in the field, where he was able to get a full perspective of the importance of logistics in the successful execution of projects. He brings a wealth of experience in the project sector, having worked in various project business lines including mining and metals, power, oil and gas, pipelines, and LNG plants. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, from Iowa State University. He is also a Global Executive MBA graduate from TRIUM (2015) a three university program – NYU Stern, London School of Economics, and HEC Paris.
