Nekkhil Mishra

Director Europe, Middle East, Africa & Russia Independent Project Analysis

Nekkhil Mishra currently serves as IPA’s Director of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR). In this role, he oversees IPA’s operations and is responsible for strengthening IPA’s relationships with local and global clients, with a focus on enabling them to enhance the effectiveness of their capital project systems.
Prior to his promotion to Director, EMEAR, Nekkhil served as Deputy Director of E&P, overseeing the development of IPA’s upstream work in EMEAR.

During his career as an analyst, he looked at over 60 large-scale projects worldwide for major international and nation oil and gas companies, evaluating the competitiveness of these projects and highlighting key areas of risk. During this time, he was also the main focal point for one of IPA’s core clients (BP Exploration & Production Co Ltd) working hand in hand with their projects performance group, helping them achieve a competitive edge in their offshore O&G developments. He has led the industry performance breakout at IPA’s Upstream Benchmarking Consortium (UIBC), identifying current industry trends and diagnosing systemic issues for 22 of IPA’s core clients. Nekkhil is considered an expert in the functioning and effectiveness of assurance processes in the oil and gas industry. Nekkhil is an instructor with IPA Institute and has taught courses on Megaprojects, Gatekeeping and Governance and Best Practices in Exploration and Production. Nekkhil has also been a speaker at various conferences.
